The appts. includes Seebeck and/or Peltier couples (1) assembled together in frames (2), preferably of plastic material. Alternatively they may be assembled without frames. The couples are arranged so that all the sides faces (1a) which are at the same temperature lie in one plane with their joints (3) glued or sealed. All the faces joined in this manner are provided with an electrically insulating coat if they are in contact with a heat conductor of conductive material. The bond between faces can be convex.
