The deflection measurement of at least one movable part of sensor (1), is used for determining the wind strength and/or the wind direction. The deflection measurement is carried out capacitively, with at least one plate type capacitor being used. Two plate capacitors essentially oriented vertically to each other are employed.A capacitor (2) is provided for icing analysis depending on the direction. Capacitor plates (6a,6b) show one of two capacitors for wind and turbulence analysis depending on its direction. The dielectric used in the capacitors is air.
