First the cooling mat (21) and its transverse holders (25) are installed as cooling unit (20) so the connectors (28) joined to the holders at both ends lie on the longitudinal unit edges parallel to the cooling tubes (22). The ceiling plate bearer profiles are then fitted at connector spacing to the intersections of the profiles to form a crossways frame to run in the longitudinal direction of the bearer profiles without displacement. The cooling units are thus connected to the cross frame via the connectors and profiles to form a level cooling structure clear of the ceiling plates so as to offer a closed boundary surface, and finally the plates are fixed to the bearer profiles in this same boundary surface. Before the plates are made fast, the mat connections (23) are joined to the cooling circuit to check for possible leakage. Smooth plasterboard serves as ceiling plates, faced in glass-fibre web and subsequently sprayed with fine plaster etc.
