The aim of the invention is to produce a high-performance array antenna of simple construction operating over a wide frequency band with the option of transmitting/receiving under dual polarisation. This object is achieved with the aid of a three-plate structure A formed of a support plate 12 for the supply lines 22, sandwiched between two slightly separated metal plates 11, 13 punched with regular recesses aligned in pairs 20A, 20B, the said supply lines 22 having a termination 30 sticking out opposite each pair of recesses 20A, 20B thus forming an elementary radiating element of the antenna, the said three-plate structure A moreover being supplemented with a lower reflecting plate 14. The invention finds a preferred application for direct satellite receivers of radio or television broadcasts in the S or X bands. IMAGE
