A method for determining a central triple helix moiety of human IV-type collagen by enzyme immunoassay according to one-step sandwich method using a monoclonal antibody capable of cross-reacting with a specific moiety of the human IV-type collagen is disclosed. A method for determining a human IV-type collagen 7-S domain is also disclosed.
