PURPOSE: To obtain an image forming medium in which colored material does not diffuse even preserved after image forming. ;CONSTITUTION: This image forming medium 10 has a color forming layer 16 containing a color forming composition which is suitable for undergoing color change when exposed to active radiation and is dispersed in a first polymer having glass transition temp. of ≥50°C and at least one of diffusion reduced layers 14, 18 being in contact with one surface of the color forming layer. The diffusion reduced layer or respective diffusion reduced layer contains(s) a second polymer having glass transition temp. of ≥50°C and substantially contain(s) no color forming composition. Since diffusion of the colored material generated during image forming is suppressed after image forming by using the polymer with high glass transition temp. in the color forming layer and by providing the diffusion decreasing layer(s), formed images are stable during preservation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
