Method of preparation of a catalyst for the hydrogenation of nitrites by amines and application of this catalyst in the hydrogenation

The prepn. is claimed of a catalyst, for the hydrogenation of nitriles to amines of a Raney-nickel-type doped with at least one additional metallic element selected from gps. IVB, VB and VIB. The Raney nickel is placed in suspension in a soln. (pref. acidic) of the additive element. Also claimed is a catalytic hydrogenation process using the prepd. catalyst.
