The saturation variations are obtained by displacing a first fluid (water for example) which initially saturates a sample (1) embedded in resin (2), by injection into it through a first plate d 'nozzle or cap (3), and by means of a pump (7), a second fluid (oil for example). The mixture leaving through an opposite end plate (4) is collected in a two-phase separator (9) initially filled, placed on an electronic balance (10) The first excess fluid flowing to a container (13) , the progressive accumulation of the second fluid in the separator (9), varies the total mass. A programmed processor (14) continuously calculates the saturation values of the sample with respect to the first and second fluid, from the measured variations in the mass of the separator (9).
