Support post for roadside sign or signalling lights

The light support post comprises a rounded outer envelope (1") made of plastic material, divided internally by walls (2") forming a number of compartments (3"). At least some of the compartments are filled with a composite material. The envelope has a rounded section (1a") and a flat section (1b"). The outer envelope of the support may be made by extrusion, and the internal dividing walls may be formed by co-extrusion. The composite material may be injected into the compartments. A channel (4) is defined in the flat wall of the support, and there may be a refractive material in the base of this channel. Clips can be used to fasten panels to the flat surface using the channel.
