Date Nov. 9, 1995The proposed aqueous coating product for the production of coatings whose perceived color changes with the angle from which they are viewed contains: one or more water-diluable binders; one or more scale-type pigments, the hue of which depends on the angle from which they are viewed, these pigments consisting of oriented, three-dimensionally cross-linked substances of chiral phase, liquid crystalline structure; optionally one or more cross-linking agents; optionally one or more coloring absorption pigments and/or fillers; and optionally additives usually used in coatings of this type.
