PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high tensile strength electric resistance welded tube excellent in corrosion resistance, used as automobile structural member and capable of withstanding use in a bare state even under severe corrosive environments. ;SOLUTION: This electric resistance welded tube has a composition containing, by weight, ≤0.1% C, 0.1-2.0% Mn, 0.03-0.20% P, ≤0.020% S, 0.03-1.0 % Cu, 0.05-2.0% Mo, 0.01-0.1% Al, and ≤0.008% N and containing, at need, one or ≥2 kinds among 0.05-1.0% Si, 0.05-2.0% Ni, 0.05-5% Cr, and 0.01-0.05% Nb and/or (48/32)×%S to [(48/32)×%S+(48/14)×%N]×2% Ti.
