PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor iron core minimal in saturation iron loss even if saturation excitation is performed at a sharp pulse by using a high silicon steel sheet containing Si in a weight percentage in a specific range. ;SOLUTION: As seen in the figure which shows the iron loss characteristic with respect to the amount of Si, measured by using a nonoriented silicon steel sheet of 0.1mm sheet thickness, at the time when saturation excitation is performed under the conditions of rectangular wave, 50Hz cycle frequency, and 4000A/m excitation magnetic field, it becomes evident that saturation iron loss can be minimized by using a high silicon steel sheet of 4-7wt.% Si content even if saturation excitation is done at a sharp pulse. Therefore, in this method, the reactor iron core minimal in saturation iron loss is produced by using an inexpensive high silicon steel sheet of 4-7wt.% Si content, having relatively high saturation magnetic flux density.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
