PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make small a radius of swivel for an upper swiveling body without making interference between driving equipment set in a machine room and counterweight. ;SOLUTION: In conformity with the form of a driving equipment 9 set to the inside of a machine room 8, an operation machine is so constituted that an engine recessed section 20A, a radiator recessed section 20B, a muffler recessed section 20C, etc., are provided to the inside 18 of a counterweight 14 and that the driving equipment 9 is faced to the inside 18 of the counterweight 14 at an approximately certain interval. By the constitution, the counterweight 14 can be approached to the swivel center of an upper swiveling body 4 by a portion capable of reducing space formed between the driving equipment 9 and the inside 18 of the counterweight 14, and a radius R of swivel of the upper swiveling body 4 can be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
