PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a resistance measuring method for a filler capable of sensing easily and stably the resistance value between electrodes embedded in the filler, and to provide a filler observing device which can observe the composition of the filler and its filling condition from the resistance value while the inter-electrode filter resistance value is measured stably and which ensures quickening of the measuring time for observation and enhancement of the measuring accuracy. ;SOLUTION: Electrodes 5a, 5b (6, 6) are embedded in a filter A, and the same constant AC voltage is impressed on the filter A between electrodes and a variable resistor 7, and the current flowing in the filler A between the electrodes is compared by a comparator circuit 12 with the current flowing in the variable resistor 7, and the resistance value of a variable resistor 9 is adjusted by a phase detector 12a and a control circuit 15 so that the resistance value components of the two currents become identical. A constant current is fed to this variable resistor 9 and an output is given from a voltage signal amplifier circuit 14 in compliance with this resistance value, and on the basis of the output, the composition of the filler A and/or its filling condition is observed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
