PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the surface/volume ratio of calcium hydroxide particles, control the rise of slurry viscosity and improve the exhaust gas treatment efficiency by using a polymer compound with acidic functional group as a polymer dispersant for a slurry-like neutralizer for exhaust gas treatment. ;SOLUTION: A dispersant is added into a slurry-like neutralizer containing calcium hydroxide used for removing acidic gas contained in combustion furnace exhaust gas or the like, and is composed of a polymer compound having acidic functional group in its moleculars. The polymer compound is composed of a polymer containing carboxyl containing monomer and polyalkylene glycol mono(meth)acrylate as essential monomer components. A calcium hydroxide particles containing slurry-like neutralizer used for exhaust gas treatment is modified by the above-said dispersant.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
