PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tap water source of good quality by solving an eutrophication phenomenon caused by pollutants in a closed water area such as lakes and marshes, to restore the hydrophilicity of the closed water area and to more efficiently and certainly improve the water quality of the closed water area relatively large in the quantity of storage water. SOLUTION: In an apparatus for clarifying eutrophicated lakes and marshes partitioning eutrophicated lakes for and marshes 2 to form a predetermined water area 6 to be treated to clarify the water area 6, partition matter 4 partitioning lakes and marshes in depth direction to form the water area 6 to be treated so as to surround the entire surface or a part of the mouth 1a of the river 1 communicating with eutrophicated lakes and marshes 2 and a clarifying apparatus 8 taking in water of the water area 6 to be treated to separate and remove pollutants present in this water to discharge treated water to the outside of the water area to be treated area arranged.
