REINFORCED FIBER FOR HAND LAY-UP MOLDING AND MANUFACTURE OF HAND LAY-UP MOLDED PRODUCT

PURPOSE: To prolong greatly the time of use as compared with in the case of mixing a curing agent with resin at a job site and improve workability by impregnating preliminarily reinforced fiber to which the curing agent is adhered with thermosetting resin. ;CONSTITUTION: Reinforce fiber to which a thermosetting resin curing agent is made to adhere is impregnated with thermosetting resin, and then resin is cured. As the curing agent adhering to the reinforced fiber, a curing agent of normal temperature curing type for curing the resin at the temperature in the vicinity of room temperature is preferably used from the viewpoints of molding a larger product or speeding up the repair and reinforcement of a building by utilizing the hand lay-up method. As the thermosetting resin to be combined, epoxy resin, vinyl ester resin or unsaturated polyether resin of superior workability at the time of hand lay-up molding is preferably used. It is also preferred that the adhering amount of the curing agent is in the range of 3-35 pts.wt. based on the fiber of 100 pts.wt.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
