PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the correction coefficient of an automatically measured sugar content value to enable the practical use of an automatic sugar content-measuring device having not been used due to large measuring errors. ;SOLUTION: This method for determining the measurement error-correcting coefficient of an automatic sugar content-measuring device in a wort-boiling pot in a process for producing a beer comprises setting a target cold wort sugar content value, measuring a finished wort amount and a finished sugar content in the wort-boiling pot, determining a wort-sampling amount with a correction coefficient corresponding to a method for measuring the finished sugar content, sampling the determined amount of the wort, cooling the sampled wort, measuring the practical cold wort sugar content S, and subsequently determining the measurement error-correcting coefficient Y_a from the equality: Y_a=(sampled wort amount F cold wort sugar content S)/(finished amount V finished sugar content C_a) using the measured cold wort sugar content S, the sampled wort amount F, and the finished sugar content C_a measured with the automatic sugar content-measuring device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
