NEW MEDICINE COMPOSITION CONTAINING TRIMEBUTIN AND ITS PREPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable medicine composition giving a moderate intake calorie and capable of being prepared into an orally administration form of powder or granules to permit therapy by carriage. SOLUTION: This new medicine composition contains the mixture of trimebutine as a main active ingredient with a water-soluble viscous adjuvant selected from cellulose derivatives and rubbers as an excipient. The composition contains e.g. 10 pts.wt. of trimebutine, 40-60wt.% of a sweetener mixture comprising 39.5-59 pts. of sucrose and 0.5-5 pts. of aspartame, and 1-5 pts.wt. of xanthane gum. The composition preferably further contains 1.6-6.5 pts.wt. of a multi-component excipient comprising 0.25-2 pts. of polysolvate 80, 1-4 pts. of gumi arabic and 0.1-1 pt. of anhydrous colloidal silica, and 5-40 pts.wt. of a natural orange perfume containing 0.001-0.1 pt. of an Orange Yellow S dyestuff. This composition is prepared by sufficiently mixing trimebutine with various kinds of components, subjecting the mixture to wet granulation and driving treatments, sieving the prepared granules and subsequently homogenizing the granules with the excipient.
