SOLVENT FREE SILICONE RESIN WITH HIGH COMPATIBILITY AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flake or powder type solvent free silicone resin exhibiting an excellent dispersing properties useful as a pressure-sensitive adhesive, etc., by modifying the dispersion system of a silicone resin dispersed in a volatile liquid dispersing agent. ;SOLUTION: This resin is produced by dispersing (B) a silicone resin {preferably expressed by the formula [a, b, c, d are each a positive number, while a+b+c+d=1, 1/2(b+c+d)≤a≤(b+c+d) and 0≤(b+c)/d0.2; R is H, hydroxyl, an alkyl, an alkenyl, etc.,] and having number average molecular weight of 2,000-7,000} in (A) a volatile dispersing agent (preferably hexamethyldisiloxane) to prepare a dispersion system of silicone resin, dispersing 2-25 pts.wt. of nonvolatile silicone fluid per 75-98 pts.wt. of the total of ingredient (B) and nonvolatile silicone fluid and then removing the ingredient (A). Preferably the objective powdery resin is obtained by spray drying the dispersion or coprecipitating together with ingredient (A) from the dispersion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
