PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surely straightening the bend of a rolled stock, especially the shape of nose bend at the tip of the rolled stock without executing measurement of the bent shape of a material and complicated control or the like by that. ;SOLUTION: In a side guide device arranged on the outlet side of a rolling mill, the interval between two opposed side guides 1 becomes narrower as the distance from the rolling mill is further away and vertical rolls 2 are arranged in the end parts of both side guides. Furthermore, the device has a side-guide position adjusting mechanism 3a for changing the interval between two side guides along the longitudinal direction. In these side guide devices, the interval between two side guides 1 or the positions of the vertical rolls 2 are adjusted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
