PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit measuring of wear loss of a heat transfer tube in a fluidized bed simply in a wide area by a method wherein a pair of casing bodies are pivoted about the outer periphery of a heat transfer tube to scan the worn and thinned surface of the heat transfer tube by one of the spherical bodies and scan the surface of the heat transfer tube, which is not worn and thinned, by the other spherical body to operate the worn and thinned amount. ;SOLUTION: A casing body 5 and another casing body 6 are constituted so as to form an isosceles triangle, whose symmetric axis 10 is the diameter of a heat transfer tube 1, whose bottom side is a line connecting both centers of spherical bodies 3, 4 and whose apex is the center of a spherical body 2, while the spherical body 2 is supported pivotally in the casing body 5 and the spherical bodies 3, 4 are supported pivotally in the casing body 6. Further, the casing bodies 5, 6 are arranged so as to be attracted mutually while pinching the heat transfer tube 1 between them. According to this method, the wear loss of the heat transfer tube 1 is obtained by a difference in the measured values of distances between the casing body 5 and the casing body 6, which are measured by a displacement meter 9, interposed between the casing bodies 5, 6 when the casing bodies 5, 6 are attached to the normal heat transfer tube 1, which is not worn and thinned, and the heat transfer tube 1, which is worn and thinned.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
