PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a membrane for separating an arom. hydrocarbon from a mixture of various arom. hydrocarbons or from a mixture of such arom. hydrocarbons and non aromatic hydrocarbons and to obtain a producing method. ;SOLUTION: The membrane is formed from a polymer base material which may or may not be crosslinked, and consists of more than one monofunctional monomer selected from among polymerizable monomers having one double bond and/or more than one functional crosslinkable monomer selected from among polyfunctional polymerizable monomers having at least two double bond. Further, the monofunctional monomer is an acrylate or methacrylate expressed by molecular formula, CH2=CHR-COOR1 (R is H or methyl group. R1 is 1-30C alkyl, benzyl or branched or nonbranched aryl group, and may be replaced with a heteroatom).
