METHOD FOR RETRIEVING AND REGISTERING COURSE INFORMATION IN NAVIGATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the course information, including the information of start, goal and course, easily by simply touching a touch switch. SOLUTION: The navigation system comprises a touch switch 2 arranged in front of a display 1 and guide a course by displaying a road diagram on the screen of a display 1. The navigation system has a function for retrieving a main point within a predetermined range centering around the operating point of touch switch 2 and displaying the main point in a pattern excellent in the distinguishability. The navigation system also has a function for converting the part, touched by a finger, on a desired course between start and goal into a display pattern distinguished from that of other part of road diagram.
