PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic jig by which chips are scattered by the air so as to exclude the deposition of the chips and by which chips during a cutting operation can be discharged completely to the outside of the jig and to provide a machine tool which uses the automatic jig. ;SOLUTION: A receiver plate 4 on which a test piece 3 has been placed is fixed to the upper end of a rod which is driven by a cylinder, the receiver plate 4 is raised to the side of arms 6a, 6b installed at the upper end of a body 1 so as to be clamped between both, and the test piece 3 is machined by an NC machine tool. At this time, cutting chips which fall on the surface of the body 1 faced with the bottom face of the receiver plate 4 are blown off by the air which is discharged from slender holes 30a, 30b and slender grooves 31a, 31b formed on the surface of a plate 25a installed on the surface of the body 1, and the chips on the body 1 are removed. The air is supplied through air passage holes 27a, 27b, 28a, 28b formed to be a manifold shape inside the body 1 and through pocket grooves 29a, 29b formed on the rear of plates 25a, 25b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
