DOUBLE GLAZING AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING DOUBLE GLAZING TO FRAME BODY

PURPOSE: To facilitate the fitting of double glazing into a sliding door or the like by fitting the double glazing, fitted with a glazing channel with fall preventing material interposed in between, into a frame member. ;CONSTITUTION: Fall preventing material 10 is of tape shape with a pressure sensitive adhesive applied to one face side of belt material 10a made of soft resin or the like, and this fall preventing material 10 is stuck to the end part of double glazing 5 with a spacer (b) placed between two panes of glass 5a, 5a. A glazing channel 20 is molded integrally out of soft resin so as to have approximately U-shape cross section, and lips 20d, 20d protruded obliquely downward toward the center side are formed at contact parts 20c, 20c with the glass. The opening part 20e of the glazing channel 20 is fitted to the peripehral edge part of the double glazing 5, fitted with the fall preventing material 10, to mount the glazing channel 20 to the double glazing 5. The double glazing 5 with the glazing channel 20 thus mounted on the peripheral edge part is fitted into a frame body F along with the glazing channel 20.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
