DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MEASURING MOISTURE IN TEA LEAVES IN TEA MANUFACTURING PROCESS

PURPOSE: To enable measurement of moisture by using near-infrared analyzer free from the effect of steam from tea leaves. ;CONSTITUTION: On the side wall of conveyance space 1 for tea leaves in the manufacturing process, a measuring part 2 is provided outwardly with an optical transparent plate 13 in between. A moving plate 12 for holding a measuring sample 5 is provided in front of the optical transparent plate 13 in the conveyance space 1 and operated during measurement. Scattered reflection light from the measuring sample 5 through the optical transparent plate 13 is measured by the measuring part 2, and moisture content is obtained from the light absorbancy obtained from the diffuse reflection light based on a measurement formula obtained in advance by using a sample of known moisture content.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
