PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attenuating function with bringing-out of a certain frictional force on a sliding face, by using several sliding bearings in which the sliding face is treated with a preventive processing against sticking by use or a metallic plate and several laminated rubber bearings together. ;SOLUTION: Shoes 1' for a structure are provided at the bottom of the structure 1 and a durable metallic plate 5 is attached thereto. The sliding bearing 4 having a frictional force is put on a durable metallic plate 6 fitted to a foundation 2 through a specially processed part 7. Even if it is left in this condition for a long period, it is neither adheres nor the characteristics deteriorate and the attenuation property is kept. And further, when the sliding bearing 4 and the laminated rubber bearing 3 are used together, the proper vibration period of the base isolation system of the structure becomes longer in comparison with a single kind of the laminated rubber bearing 3. In this way, this system is sufficiently applicable for a structure having a long proper vibration period or an earthquake with a long periodical component, and hence this system can bring out an excellent vibration isolation effect.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
