PURPOSE: To enhance the reproducibility of a low density part, to make the change ratios in main scanning and sub-scanning directions of recording dots accompanied by the increase and decrease of applied energy almost equal and to easily express high density without applying large energy to a heating resistor. ;CONSTITUTION: In a thermal head wherein a pair electrodes 1a, 1b are arranged so as to leave a distance L in the transfer direction of a recording medium and parallelogramic heating resistors 2 are arranged between a pair of the electrodes, when the arranging pitch of the adjacent heating resistors is set to P and the width thereof is set to W and the inclination of the heating resistor to the transfer direction of the recording medium is set to θ, W-Ltanθ≤0.25W and 0.8(P-W)≤L/2≤1.2(P-W) are satisfied.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
