PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bypass mixing type gas water heater which eliminates the generation of drain at a heat exchanger even at the time of high input water temperature by altering the bypass ratio of the water to a bypass tube in response to a flowing water temperature and a water governor (constant flow valve) used therefor. ;SOLUTION: This bypass mixing type gas water heater comprises a heat exchanger 16 having a feed water tube 12 and a hot water discharge tube 14, and a gas burner 20 for heating the exchanger 16. The heater also comprises a bypass pipeline 38 for directly introducing the water flowing through he tube 12 to the tube 14, and a water temperature sensing type constant flow valve 44 provided at the branch unit from the pipeline 38 of the tube 12 to alter the bypass ratio of the water flowing to the pipeline 38 in response to the temperature of the water flowing to the tube 12. The valve 44 has a mechanism for suppressing the bypass ratio when the input water temperature is low and enhancing the bypass ratio as the input water temperature rises.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
