PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of two-component developer for a developing device using the two-component developer without doing troublesome maintenance work. ;SOLUTION: A cylindrical developer cartridge B has a two-component developer storage room, a toner storage room, a cartridge side developer changing port and a cartridge side toner refilling port and a developing container A has a cartridge mount 62 on which the developer cartridge B can be mounted in a demountable manner, a developing container side developer changing port 65 connected to the cartridge side developer changing port and a developing container side toner refilling port 66 connected to the cartridge side toner refilling port. Part of deteriorating developer is collected into the old developer cartridge B, when changed, and developer for a new developer cartridge B is refilled into the developing container A.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
