END FACE ANTICORROSIVE METHOD OF PRECOAT STEEL SHEET BY COLD-SETTING COATING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the corrosion of the end face part of a precoat steel plate, to cover metallic gloss and to enable the finishing with excellent appearance. ;SOLUTION: A cold-setting coating material is applied on the end face part of the precoat steel sheet and the film is cured by air drying. It is preferable to control the viscosity of the cold-setting coating material to 500-2500cPs in order to improve the appearance of the end face part after coating. Further, the glass of the coating film surface is controlled suitably to ≤70% in order to cover the metallic gloss of the end face by adding ≤2wt.% black pigment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
