SPECIMEN THROWING-IN DIRECTION JUDGING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen throwing-in direction judging method speedily and precisely judging the throwing direction of a specimen. ;SOLUTION: From among previously fixed plural feature quantity reading places, a minimum feature quantity reading place where the correct answer ratio of a throwing-in direction judging result is not less than a prescribed value is searched in advance by optimizing processing by a genetic algorithm. Then the specimen throwing-in direction is judged based on a feature quantity obtained only from the searched feature quantity reading place and reference data classified by the throwing-in direction previously generated for each specimen throwing-in direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
