PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with the work to finely pulverize waste plastic in the charging of the waste plastic into a coke oven after mixing with coal and prevent the generation of clogging of a gas flow channel with an incompletely decomposed substance in the charging of a waste plastic on a red hot coke. ;SOLUTION: Raw materials filled in charge hoppers 11 containing waste plastic 51 at the lower part and coal 50 placed on the waste plastic are delivered in a manner same as the conventional raw material charging operation and the delivered raw materials are charged into a carbonization chamber 1. A layer composed mainly of the waste plastic is formed on the bottom of the carbonization chamber 1 and a layer composed mainly of coal is formed on the plastic layer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
