PREVENTION METHOD OF FIRE OF GRAIN POWDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective means to prevent possible fire of grain powder efficiently with limited use of an inert gas to be ineffective as a fire preventing means of the grain powder. ;SOLUTION: An inert gas is supplied into a conveying apparatus 1 for conveying grain powder to hold the concentration of oxygen in the atmosphere within the conveying apparatus below 10%, while the grain powder is conveyed in such a manner as to be retained in the conveying apparatus more than 1 min. This method enables effective prevention of fire of the grain powder with limited use of the inert gas. The concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere within the conveying apparatus is always monitored to supply the inert gas other than carbon dioxide into the conveying apparatus 1, according to the concentration of the carbon dioxide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
