RANDOM ACCESS SORTER AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE USING THIS RANDOM ACCESS SORTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure so as to reduce a cost and to simplify maintenance so as to increase a speed of sorting a sheet. ;SOLUTION: When a device is started, a stepping motor 60 is driven to rotate a flapper 59 to a prescribed position. On the other hand, in a conveying roller 5, a sheet is fetched from an image forming device 2. Then the fetched sheet is conveyed along a sheet conveying route specified by the flapper 59, to be discharged onto a prescribed pin 56. In this constitution thus formed, by eliminating necessity for vertically moving the pin 56,... total unit for sorting the sheet, as a result, a cost is reduced also to simplify maintenance. Since weight of the flapper 59 is lightened as compared with the pins 56,..., moving the flapper and its positioning after moving are simplified, and changing the sheet conveying route is simplified.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
