PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piecing method and system therefor in an open end fine spinning machine, capable of mechanically dealing successfully with conventional drawbacks without the need of troublesome control operations and hopeful of high piecing successfulness even if piecing operation is conducted at a twist multiplier higher than that in stationary operation. ;SOLUTION: The revolutional speed difference between both outer and inner rotors is provided by a differential gear 50 both in stationary and piecing operations. When a yarn breakage occurs, the input from machine frame side to the differential gear is cut off and a piecing machine 60 is called. The piecing machine, as a surrogate, inputs a revolution in the differential gear 50 and both the rotors are imparted with a controllable revolutional speed difference from the piecing machine side. The number of revolutions for the outer rotor is monitored by a revolution sensor 37, and when the number reaches a level suitable for piecing, a yarn draw roller 64 and input shaft are actuated by driving motors 64 and 76, respectively. A yarn delivery is made following synchronizing the speed of the yarn draw roller 64 with that of the machine frame side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
