PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a magnetic shielding effect even if a wide measuring space is kept and openings are made larger by fitting seamless disklike substances with holes to the surfaces of the opened ends of a cylindrical substance so that the surfaces of these disklike substances may coincide with the surfaces of the opened ends, or forming their united body. ;SOLUTION: Seamless disklike substances 12 with holes made out of superconducting material of a kind different from or the same as that of a seamless cylindrical substance 11 made out of superconducting material, are put so that the surfaces of these disklike substances 12 may coincide with the surfaces of the opened ends of the cylindrical substance 11, or their united body is formed. By doing this way, it becomes possible to put a superconductor having a closed loop in the peripheries of the openings of the cylindrical substance 11, and a shielding current is induced in this superconductor having the closed loop by a magnetic field which was passing the peripheries of the openings until now, and magnetic shielding effects of the openings are produced. These magnetic shielding effects of the openings make it possible to reduce the entry of magnetic fields from the openings of the cylindrical substance 11, and to enhance the internal magnetic shielding effect.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
