PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To culture a bacterium by a container small in occupying volume, deformable according to the purpose so as to examine the presence of a bacterium, by putting a medium in a bag comprising a translucent or transparent flexible material not permeating a liquid and a bacterium and culturing the bacterium. ;SOLUTION: A bacterium incubator 1 provided with a bag 2 having mutually divided housing parts comprising a translucent or transparent flexible material (e.g. a polyethylene film) not permeating a liquid and a bacterium and an opening and closing member 3 which is stuck fast to each housing part so as to individually take a medium in and out from each housing part is used. A medium, a specimen, etc., are fed to the bag and a bacterium is cultured. The bacterium is cultured by a bacterium examination method for using the container deformable according to the purpose and examining the presence of bacteria by observation through the bag after the culture.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
