DEODORIZING CATALYST FILTER PRODUCING METHOD AND DEODORIZER USING DEODORIZING CATALYST FILTER PRODUCED BY THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a deodorizing catalyst filter high in deodorizing efficiency, high in quality, excellent in the stability of quality without the fluctuation of quality and excellent in durability by impregnating a PTC honeycomb carrier into metal salt solution having a deodorizing function or spraying the solution onto the carrier thereby incorporating a deodorizing catalyst into the inside of the carrier. ;SOLUTION: The extrusion-molded porous PTC honeycomb carrier 1 is fired at 1150-1400°C and an insulation layer 3 consisting of one or more kinds of alumina or silica is formed on the surface of the fired PTC honeycomb carrier 1. Next, the honeycomb carrier 1 on which the insulation layer 3 is formed is impregnated into the metal salt solution having a deodorizing function or the metallic salt solution is sprayed onto the PTC honeycomb carrier 1 to deposit a deodorizing catalyst layer 4 on the fine pores and gaps of the PTC carrier 1. Thereafter, the PTC honeycomb carrier 1 is dried and thermally treated. Thus, a specified quantity of the deodorizing catalyst 4 matched with the usage of the PTC honeycomb carrier 1i is deposited on the PTC honeycomb carrier 1 and the durability is enhanced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
