PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incorporate an embossed pattern having a small degree of pattern- back after transferring with excellent emboss transferability. ;SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing a planar thermoplastic resin with embossed pattern comprises the steps of superposing a thermoplastic resin sheet 11 made of crystalline polyolefin resin containing nucleating agent on an endless belt 15, heating it to a softening point or higher, moving the sheet 11 to an embossed pattern forming roll 17, then bringing the sheet 11 into contact with the outer periphery of the roll 17 at the wrapping angle of 5 or more degrees, forming the pattern on the sheet 11 while pressurizing the sheet to the roll 17, and then cooling the sheet 11 formed with the pattern.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
