PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision point part cooling device for electron/positron beam collision type accelerator, which can do sufficient cooling without increas ing the amount of substance in the collision point part of a vacuum chamber and which can prevent a detector from dropping in ability to detect elementary particles. ;SOLUTION: The point or part of a vacuum chamber 1 where bombardment is made is formed as a double structural tube 11, and the gap between the inner tube 9 and outer tube 10 is used as a cooling gas passage 13 in which a cooling gas 12 flows, and a cooling gas supplying flow-path 16a to supply the cooling gas 12 to the passage 13 is formed at the tube wall of the vacuum chamber 1 to be connected with one end of the double structural tube 11. A gas exhaust flow-path 16b to exhaust the gas 12 supplied to the passage 13 from the gas supplying flow-path 16a is formed at the tube wall of the vacuum chamber 1 to be connected with the other end of the tube 11. Further a cooling liquid flow-path 18 to admit flowing of a cooling liquid 17 such as water is formed at the tube wall of the vacuum chamber 1 to be connected with the two ends of the tube 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
