PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally regulate the thickness of alloy layer in a hot dip aluaminum plated steel sheet with accuracy and to remarkably reduce the generation of the peeling of the plating layer. ;SOLUTION: A setting means 41 sets the objective thickness of an alloy layer in response to a command signal from a coating weight command signal generating means 40. A calculating means 43 calculates the objective value of the flow rate of a refrigerant by substituting the objective alloy layer thickness and the detected value by a carrying rate detecting means 39 for a multiple regression equation. A regulating means 44 regulates a refrigerant flow rate adjusting means 38 in such a manner that, compared with the detected value by a refrigerant flow rate detecting means 37 and the objective value, the difference therebetween is regulated to zero. Since the regulation of the thickness of the alloy layer is executed based on the multiple regression formula, the thickness of the alloy layer can be regulated with accuracy so as to accord with the objective value. Moreover, since the thickness of the alloy layer is regulated in such a manner that the higher the coating weight increases, the smaller it reduces, the generation of the peeling of the plating layer can remarkably be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
