LARGE-SCALE SNOW-MELTING FACILITY FOR REMOVED SNOW

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a large-sized snow-melting facility which can effectively melt the snow exhausted and gathered in a heavy snow precipitation area, with which it is practicable to suppress the energy for snow melting and also equipment costs for snow melting devices along with their running cost. ;CONSTITUTION: A plurality of sprinkling nozzles 6 are furnished on the inner surface of a large-sized snow-melting tank 1, whereto exhausted snow is directly fed from a dump truck, etc., wherein a water gathering path 4 is provided in the lower part of the tank. The path 4 is put in communication with a sedimentation chamber 12 through a water exhaust line 11. A check valve 13 is installed on the way of the line 11, and a siphon pipe 14 is furnished in by-passing the check valve 13. The sedimentation chamber 12 is equipped with a mud exhausting device which works with a conveyor 16. The nozzle 6 is connected with a water source of natural hot water.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
