PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously execute reclamation works and soil improving works by reforming the sediment by adding a pulverulent body to the same during the transportation to a waste soil disposal ground such as reclaimed ground, and stirring and mixing them. ;SOLUTION: In a system for transporting a sediment to a ground to be reclaimed by high-pressire air, the momentary inner sediment flow surface position 6 is intermittently detected by an ultrasonic wave analogue distance detector 2 at an arbitrary position A of the sediment transporting pipe 1, the sectional area of the sediment flow is calculated by a computer 5, and the sectional areas are integrated at an arbitrary time interval, to calculate the sediment flow at the arbitrary position A. Then the pulverulent body is added to the sediment 6, to be stirred and mixed in a condition that the amount of the pulverulsent body to be added, is controlled on the basis of the relationship between the amount of the puverulent body to be added and the calculated amount of the sediment, predetermined corresponding to the properties of the sediment, and the calculated amount of the sediment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
