PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal device for underwater civil engineering work having an accurate work range while using various work apparatuses, remarkably reducing the work at an overlap section, having high work efficiency, having a simple and lightweight structure for its length, and constituted of a work main frame body, a work apparatus fitting slide base, and a rail installation base by moving the work apparatus fitting slide base in the directions X, Y, Z via the remote control from the outside of the water surface even in the blind state in the underwater. ;SOLUTION: A work main frame body 1 is mounted on a rail frame body 6 constituted of a rail installation base 4 movably in the direction X and the direction Z. A work apparatus fitting slide base 2 is fitted to the work main frame body 1 movably in the direction Y, and movements in the directions X, Y, Z are made via remote control. A shifting device 12 in the direction Y made of a chain operated by a hydraulic apparatus, a travel device in the direction X constituted of a rack and a pinion, and a remote control device operated by a telemeter on the water surface are stored in the hollow work main frame body 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
