CROSS-LINKABLE RESIN COMPOSITION, POWER CABLE AND POWER CABLE CONNECTION USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the above composition useful as an insulator layer of an insulated power cable, free from admixture of foreign material, low in water content after cross-linking, few in number of microvoids, excellent in electric insulating characteristics, by blending an olefin-based resin with an organic peroxide and a specific antioxidant. ;SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by blending (A) an olefin-based resin with (B) an organic peroxide such as dicumyl peroxide and (C) an antioxidant which contains bis[2-methyl-4-(3-n-12C or 14C alkylthiopropionyloxy)-5-t- butylphenyl]sulfide (C₁) and adjusted to ≤1.5 acidity {e.g. a mixture of 50-90wt.% of the component C₁ and 50-10wt.% of (3-methyl-6-t-butylphenyl) [2-methyl-4-(3-n-12C or 14C alkylthiopropionyloxy)-5-t-butylphenyl]sulfide} as essential imgredents.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
