TREATMENT OF END PART OF CYLINDRICAL KNITTED FABRIC AND CYLINDRICAL KNITTED FABRIC COMPRISING END PART TREATED WITH ELASTIC YARN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating the end part of a cylindrical knitted fabric excellent in wearing feeling, capable of improving a commercial value and to obtain a cylindrical knitted fabric subjected to end part treatment with an elastic yarn. ;SOLUTION: A loop hung on a knitting needle at either one end part of a front and a rear needle beds is transferred to the other knitting needle corresponding to the loop by using a pair of the needle beds opposed back and forth. The loop transferred to the other needle bed is moved in the direction so as to pile the loop on the loop at the end part of one needle bed and the loop transferred to the other needle bed is moved to one needle bed and piled on the loop. An elastic yarn is fed to the piled two loops to form a new loop and the new loop is transferred to the knitting needle of the other needle bed. The new loop transferred to the other needle bed is moved in the direction to pile the new loop on the loop at the end part of one needle bed and the loop transferred to the other needle bed is moved to one needle bed and piled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
