PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for carrying out cold reserving of fishes, etc., without making the appearance worse due to immersion of a material to be cold-reserved, e.g. fishes into water produced by melting of ice as a cold insulator, capable of preventing heat transmission from the lower face of a container, keeping state of ice for a long time and continuing cold reserving effect over a long time and provide a cold reserving container. ;SOLUTION: The interior of a cold reserving container 1 composed of a container body made of an expanded synthetic resin and a lid body 3 is vertically partitioned by a partition plate 7 having a water through hole 8 and a material (m) to be cold-reserved is housed together with ice (i) in the upper side of the plate 7 used as a housing space A₁ and water (w) produced by melting ice with the passage of time is discharged through a water permeable hole 8 of a partition plate 7 into water storage space A₂ in the lower part and the material (m) to be cold-reserved is refrigerated in a state where water (w) is kept in the space A₁. The size of the water storage space is preferably saved when providing a water discharging hole in a lower part than the partition part 7 at the side wall 4 of the container body 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
