PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove nitrogen oxide contained in a waste gas of plants, an exhaust gas or automobiles or the like by using an amorphous perovskite type carrier catalyst having a mixture of =2 metal oxides carried on a carrying material and expressed by a specific formula. SOLUTION: The amorphous perovskite type carrier catalyst having large surface area, excellent in dispensability and activity and capable of removing nitrogen oxide is constituted so as to carry the mixture of =2 metal oxides on the carrying material and is a catalyst expressed by a formula, (M1 a Ox . M2 1-a Oy )(M3 b Oz .M4 1-b Ow )/S. In the formula, each of M1 and M2 is a lanthanum series metal such as lanthanum, an alkali metal such as potassium, an alkaline earth metal such as strontium, each of M3 and M4 is a transition metal of the 1st period such as cobalt and copper. The ratio of (M1 +M2 ):(M3 +M4 ) is 0.1:1.0 to 3.0:1.0 and S is the carrying material containing silicon and aluminum.
